ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
The AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association is a local non-profit organization, created in 1988, to introduce and teach the game of golf to young people betweenthe ages of 6 and 17, and make available to all under privileged children, the opportunity to explore the richness that golf can offer for them. Annual Membership is $25.00. The Association now has approximately 1,400 junior golfers who have benefited from the various activities offered by the Association. Through the financial support of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, and individual donations, our programs continue to serve the youth of Monterey County.
CLINICS: Numerous instructional and skills evaluation clinics are offered during the year. Instruction is provided by local golf professionals at participating golf courses and driving range facilities. Information on clinilc time and place is published in our newsletter and at our website. TOURNAMENTS: Tournaments are offered year-round which provide an opportunity for young golfers to experience the thrill of competition in a positive environment. Information on our tournaments is published in our newsletter and at our website (www.attpbjrgolf.com). Skills Evaluation clinics, to determine division of play, are offered for those who wish to participate in the tournaments. Junior golfers may sign-up for the tournaments on the entry form provided in the spring and fall newsletters, as well as the website.
CLUBS FOR KIDS: Through this program, the Association is able to provide reconditioned clubs to children who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford them.
SUMMER LESSON PROGRAM: Junior Golfers will receive a series five golf lessons for groups of 5 children given during the summer by local PGA golf professionals to our junior golfers (nominal fee involved). The sign-ups will take place in early June at a local golf course -- the schedule is published on our websitewww.attpbjrgolf.com.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Annual scholarships are awarded to selected college-bound members who demonstrate financial need and who are active in the Association. Information regarding scholarships is published in the fall newsletter, or by calling our office at (831) 625-1555.
